Sustain Series

Siltech’s Sustain series specialty silicone ingredients offer premium performance with the added assurance of improved sustainability. Siltech chemists have organically modified the silicone backbone with functional organic groups derived from renewable biobased carbon content sources. The result: premium performance with a reduced dependency on petroleum feedstocks. Siltech employs the ASTM D6866 method to determine the percentage of carbon derived from petroleum feedstocks vs. natural and renewable sourcing, using ASTM-D6866. If you see Sustain in the name, have confidence that the product has features that promote enhanced sustainability, often verified by independent testing!

Silube Sustain 4316 differs from traditional silicon emulsifiers as the ethoxylate and alkyl components are derived from biobased plant sources, rather than petroleum feedstocks.
Silwax® Sustain 5116 An improved sustainability liquid alkyl dimethicone that provides excellent spreadability, emollience and pleasing sensorial in personal care. Silsurf® Sustain 5116 differs from traditional Cetyl Dimethicones as the alkyl component is derived from biobased plant sources, rather than petroleum feedstocks
